Capria McClearn is an emerging Gospel Artist in the Washington, DC area, who realizes that God has given her a gift of music to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. Whether Capria sings before thousands or a few, her ultimate desire is that they will not see her, but have an encounter with God that will cause them to have a life changing experience.
Capria currently serves as Director of Worship and Arts at The Master's Child Church Worship Center in Maryland, under the leadership of Bishop Melvin and Lady Cheryl Robinson. Capria is passionate about serving in music ministry, developing and cultivating the God given gifts of those she serves, and most importantly, leading by example as a Christian and worshipper.
In addition to serving in her local church, Capria lends her gift on other platforms, such as leading/supporting roles in stage plays and musical productions featuring renowned artist like Erica Campbell, Marvin Sapp, Shirley Murdock and many others. Capria also sings and lead with DC's own Gospel artist JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise and Charles Butler & Trinity. Capria was blessed to be a background vocalist for the entire first season of BET's "Joyful Noise" hosted by Tye Tribbett. Capria released her first single "Emmanuel" in 2012 and soon to work on her debut album.
Though her love for music is strong, her greatest love after God is her husband Sam Sr., and their two children, Christina and Sam Jr. Being a wife and mother is her greatest joy! Her favorite scripture is Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
