There is a popular statement that says, “Those who can’t do, teach.” To the contrary emerges an extraordinary music teacher who is discrediting this phrase and evolving as an exceptional educator of the arts and a phenomenal Gospel vocalist. Ronnette Harrison is a vocalist with exquisite tone, a composer of prolific melodies, and an accomplished pianist and organist. Ronnette received a Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Towson University and previously taught in Prince George County Schools in Maryland. Now Ronnette administers private vocal and piano instruction and is making her debut as a Gospel music artist with her first solo album entitled JOURNEY. It is available on most music sites such as iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, Google Play, and her website, www.theronnetteharrison.com.
Ronnette began performing as a singer and musician with Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee Shirley Ables & The Joy Gospel Singers at the age of 11 and has recorded with numerous artists including Vicki Yohe, Pastor Shirley Caesar and Dorothy Norwood. Ronnette stepped out as a solo artist after spending time as a singer with Stellar Award winning groups Isaiah D. Thomas & Elements of Praise, and Mike McCoy & Voices United. She has been nominated for several DMV Christian Music Awards and won Female Artist of the Year at the Gospel Blue M.I.C. Achievement Awards in July 2015.
The songstress toured with Mike McCoy & Voices United in Italy. As a solo artist, she has performed at the historic Blues Alley in Washington, D.C. She’s appeared on the television show “Rejoice in the Word”, which airs on The Word Network as well as “I Will Bless the Lord at all times” which airs on the TBN Network. "Ronnette Harrison just simply blew us away at the IGAA Conference," shares Phillip Carter, Award Winning Gospel artist and founder of Independent Gospel Artists Alliance. "Her voice and anointing changed the atmosphere in the room. She will be a breath of fresh air in Christian Music."
As a highly sought after music instructor, worship psalmist, and musician, Ronnette has an increasingly busy schedule. For booking, visit her website: www.theronnetteharrison.com, email: or call 202- 740-4972.
As God has poured into Elder Lyons along her spiritual journey – charging her to raise a new generation of leaders, she later became the President of The Audacity to Lead Institute in an effort to train and equip leaders for effective ministry. She humbly serves at her local church Ekklesia Fellowship International, Brentwood, MD under her Overseer, Bishop Stephanie Stratford. In addition, Lyons serves as the Spiritual Advisor to various non-profit organizations across the U.S. Out of her many hats, her greatest joy is fulfilled being the loving wife to Minister Cetric Lyons and doting mother of two daughters; Freedom and Reign. She holds close to her heart Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please
man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
